Let's talk about when Treadwell and Co. were freshmen and Bama was the best they've ever been.

Let's ignore last year completely

Alabama was surely not the best they've ever been. The ending results from that '13 season prove that. We don't have to ignore last year. Alabama got up 7-3 and got a fortunate call their way before halftime, giving them a 14-3 lead. I'll admit it was horse shite, but Alabama was still leading at halftime regardless of that. Blake Sims struggled throughout the year on the road and it was evident that the crowd noise effected him. Alabama still nearly put up 400 yards on that "vaunted" defense you guys refer to a lot and Yeldon had close to 130 rushing yards.

Happy?

That 2013 Bama team was really, really good.

And last year's Bama team wasn't a bunch of scrubs either.

The fact that Ole Miss beat Bama should give you some indication that the Rebels had elevated their talent and coaching from years past.

Just look at the list of programs/teams that have beaten Bama since Saban got the program rolling. They don't lose to bad teams.

This Rebel team is better on paper than last years. Will that transfer to the field? We are about to find out.
