we've gotta gather more data before deciding if bert needs dumping

I'm still on the wagon as I stated in the original post. I only evaluate a coach after year three just as I did with Petrino. Toledo certainly pissed everyone off. I want Coach B to right the ship and give this program stability BUT the wins are also expected set by previous coaches.

I'm on Coach B's bandwagon and hope he does well. No doubt he inherited the worst of situations and regardless whomever took over the reins it was going to be a long and tough winding road ahead. Our patience would of course be tested and any turnaround, if in fact there was one, wouldn't come soon enough.

He may or may not enjoy the same success level as Nutt or Petrino. As much as a number on this board hate those guys, with reasons for disliking Nutt not being so clear to me while the reasons to dislike Petrino are obvious, from a pure perspective of attaining the level of success that those two had here at Arkansas, Coach B has a ways to go. And that's not a slam; that's just a statistical fact.

I have been giving and am certainly willing to continue to give what most of us considered to be a surprise hire that chance. How long he is given really can't be set in stone by some mathematical formula. I think most of us expect continued improvement from year to year as he builds the program and we've got a few more games to play this season before we can have an accurate assessment of improvement.
