There is something to be said for stability but not every Coach can be an outlier with initial mediocre to bad results like Gary Pinkle.

Pinkle's first 7 years at Missouri were awful and then he rattled of many 10+ win seasons and back to back SEC championship games.

Pinkel had a losing season 3 years ago.

Billy Donovan had two losing seasons while HC at Florida, it is much more difficult for a decent power program to have a losing season in basketball than football, all anyone talks about is the two championships he won with one team, not the NITs that followed or the losing season after a return trip to the final four.

I guess people have forgot about Petrino lucking out of sure losses against bad FBS and FCS schools his first 3 seasons...

Good luck telling the Arkansas fan base to hold on for 7 years with the best being 8-5 during that time. I'd gladly take one losing season of the past 8 years that included 5, 10+ win seasons and two SEC championship game appearances.

Coach B won't be touching Nutt or Petrino for his three year record. He also won't be touching Petrino for his 4th year win/loss record. He can only hope to achieve as much success as Nutt, which included a Championship game appearance in year four.

I want Coach B to win out however the win loss speak for themselves and he isn't on par with Nutt. Let's hope he can become a Pinkle without the seven year wait.
