There is something to be said for stability but not every Coach can be an outlier with initial mediocre to bad results like Gary Pinkle.

Pinkle's first 7 years at Missouri were awful and then he rattled of many 10+ win seasons and back to back SEC championship games.

You gotta find the dumping off point if results aren't met and you're dealing with a fan base that remembers Nutt very well.

Pinkel had a losing season 3 years ago.

Billy Donovan had two losing seasons while HC at Florida, it is much more difficult for a decent power program to have a losing season in basketball than football, all anyone talks about is the two championships he won with one team, not the NITs that followed or the losing season after a return trip to the final four.

I guess people have forgot about Petrino lucking out of sure losses against bad FBS and FCS schools his first 3 seasons...
