I always ask people ready to fire Bielema "Ok, who are we going to go hire?" After they quit trying to say "Saban, Malzahn, Urban Meyer..." and be realistic they almost always say "Hire an up and comer!"
I say, "Fine, so after you hire a Derek Dooley and fire him in 3 years, then what?"
"You hire another up and comer!"
People also like to forget that Urban Meyer has such a good record because he bails before a team gets bad. Florida was going to be bad post-Tebow. He knew it, so he quit. He couldn't go straight to tOSU because it was going to be bad. So he waits out the 6-6 year, and comes in for a 10 win type year. Smart guy. Can't afford any 5-7 or 4-8 records at Florida if you want to appear invincible. Let someone else soak up those seasons.

True, by other luck (even if it seems like bad luck at the time) or proper planning he has stayed ahead of the bad as a result of his recruiting and development (don't check the recruiting rankings at UF his last few years, they are never wrong).
Petrino has done the same thing, he leaves Louisville after 41-5 (or whatever it was), Kragthorpe's HC career is ended by the result of Petrino's prior work.
ATL was a shite show of a season, he quits.
Comes to Arkansas, a bad season separated from a mediocre season by coaching decisions is ignored, almost every HC in given this benefit of the doubt their first year. Second season a kicker gifts him a win from being an embarrassing loss against ECU, then "21-5", and a contract violation leading to his dismissal. We see the same result here he left at Louisville, damn it sucked to be wrong about that ever possibly happening.
Still some how Louisville takes him back after all they've been through and watched us go through, something about not learning from mistakes in the past leads to losses at home to Cougar High this past weekend.
