West Virginia there wasn't a single pass over 20 yards. All screens and quick slants. He didn't do too bad, but neither did Coker in game 1 and yet OP can't handle it.

LSU he did well enough at the end to have a comeback win, but he performed poorly enough in the first 3 quarters that a comeback win was necessary.

Auburn, he was threatened with the bench late in the game. Anytime you're threatened to be benched for the next guy in a close game, I believe saying you "played bad" is perfectly acceptable.

Arkansas, sure there were a couple drops. There was also plenty of passes that I'm still not sure where he was throwing it. I'll give you that he got both TDs with his legs, but he was inept with his arm.

I'm sorry you don't want to accept the fact that Amari was a huge reason Blake had the stats he did last year. There's a reason Amari was on the heisman finalist ballot and Blake is struggling to make a Canadian roster.

I know that's not what people want to hear because some people only want sunshine pumper and can't handle criticism of our players, but that's the way it was last year. The film is there, feel free to watch it again.

As for his year, Coker and Bateman both need to improve, but I do believe Coker is ahead and will stay ahead. Forcing him to throw when we should be running to set up the pass, and having both of them throw screen after screen is not the best way to go about this though IMO.

Then again I'm just a fan like yall. I don't make the calls. I just love me some bama football

I got this stat from Al.com for the Mid-Tenn game.

quote:

Excluding screens and touch passes, Coker was 11 of 22 for 122 yards with no touchdowns and the interception. Bateman was 5 of 11 for 47 yards with no scores and his interception.

These numbers should be a lot better when playing against a team such as the one they did on saturday. The defense of Ole Miss is far better, and this is what has me worried about or qb play going into this weekend's game.
