Explain. What do you suspect is happening?

I think the staff is possibly either doing 1 of 2 things, both of which might be done with good intentions, but have great potential for pain and suffering (keyword, possibly):

1. They're force-feeding Coker due to his seniority, hoping to further groom one of the other youngsters.

2. Punishing Cornwell. Was the incident really bad enough to possibly sacrifice the entire season just to prove a point?

Perhaps Cornwell isn't mentally prepared to handle the responsibilities; perhaps Barnett isn't either. But I find it hard to believe that QBs need this 2+ year incubation period unless something is wrong. Talented high school QBs aren't like they were in the 80s & 90s. They participate in camps and have offseason coaching, which means many of them arrive to college nearly game-ready. Maybe I'm looking too much into it.

This isn't to disparage the staff. They are truly an elite staff, but I just wonder about their M.O. sometimes.

All that said, we've got Ole Miss coming up. If we don't win that game, I won't be the only one asking these questions.

Let me add this too...

Coker's issues just might be confidence related. It may be prudent to go ahead and formally give him the job to see how he responds.

Didn't Saban just say that the QB "battle" isn't technically over? Coker has shown some good things, and he has shown some bad things. He has shown he can be serviceable thus far.

If he fricks up on Saturday, we will try someone else. shite, it ain't nothing to lose sleep over. Just enjoy the SEC football. I swear, some of of you folks take this shite so seriously that it seems that you can't even truly enjoy the season.
