So you beat the team you played by thirty plus points, but because you played walkons and the third string basically the entire second half, they drop you in the polls? Makes sense.

A&M still beat ASU by 3 TD's at a neutral site and they were up 49-3 against a nobody at halftime this week. That's more than most of the ranked teams can say at this point.

The only reason A&M hasn't gotten ranking respect is questions about the D going in to the season, no one expected it to be more than a small improvement. That certainly appears to have been disproven. In the end it doesn't matter much because the SEC schedule will bear it out. With Bama, Ole Miss, LSU, and Aubie on the schedule the cream will rise one way or another. The East teams may have some concern because Georgia is the only team that looks like a legit Top 15 team in the division but whomever wins will eventually play the SECCG against the West as well.

The SEC is the only conference where really the polls at this point truly don't matter.

i wouldn't be surprised if Az St wasn't a bit beat up and hungover from their game with us. The qb got hit a bunch. Their oline got whipped all night. Eventually, our constant run game took a toll on their defense.

We'll see how they do against New Mexico. If they still can't get it going on Offense, then we know they are not the same team as last year and the loss of Strong was bigger than expected.

ASU's hangover effect. They will bounce back and have a good year.
