Flood gates opened? To the tune of your leading rusher having 33 yards? I understand you're an air raid team, but that's kinda sad against the 2nd worst rush defense in the country last season

It was clear their entire gameplan was centered around Perine from the start of the game. We threw for 488 yds. Yeah.....the flood gates opened. We call it "the forward pass" in the BIG XII.

Akron was 41st in rush defense last season according to the NCAA, ahead of Miss State, Ole Miss, and Oregon. Where do you get your statistics?

BTW....Bowling Green finished 123rd in rushing defense last season and only returned 4 starters off of that defense. Dead last.
