Gus hasn't won anything to be considered even remotely close to that name..
HG bugs for sure.
Urban wins another title this year. No team will beat them. Even AU in the NC game

Wow, I'd forgotten that Auburn beat Florida in 2006. Odd how Arkansas beat Auburn, Auburn beat Florida and then Florida beat Arkansas in the SECCG. We shouldn't have lost that game.

I am convinced Urban was tipped off about the Tressel crap at OSU by boosters, he just got his shite pushed in by Saban that is why he quit out of LF to many positives for him to stay at UF Home State school and in a dumpster fire of a conference that still somehow gets respect from media

Urban Meyer is a great coach but what has he had to build since leaving Utah in 2004? The man dropped into Gainesville in 2005 with a crapton of talent already in place. Not to mention the fact that it was and is still one of the easiest schools to recruit to. The only problem for Meyer is that he couldn't sustain due to the SEC grind. He does not have the work ethic that other coaches in this conference have to have in order to be successful. Once the heat got too much for him he skedaddled to "spend time" with his family.
Never mind the fact that he didn't spend much time with them as he was flying all over the country working for ESPN in 2011. And then the dream job of a lifetime opened up: Ohio State. A school that, like Florida, had a freaking roster filled with blue chip talent. What was better for Meyer is, with a few exceptions here and there, the Big Ten was (and still is) a joke of a conference.
Meyer does not have to work nearly as hard to recruit or win ball games up there in the Big Ten. His team only has to show up to win 10 or 11 of those ball games in any given year. He had it pretty easy in Florida and now is living a life in paradise with OSU.

I just thought about this but since Urban quit at UF for medical reasons and did not take another job for a year I bet he did not have to pay his buyout either

Let it go....
If Bama was so smart....how come they didn't hire Saban from MSU like we did

When you hired Saban away from Michigan State we were ranked #4 in the BCS, were SEC champions, and were on our way to play Michigan in the Orange Bowl. It's kind of difficult to fire a coach after a season like that.
And what the hell does the above quoted have anything to do with my OP?

Won 2 championships with Zook's players, ran Florida into the ground, couldn't recruit himself out of the hole and jumped ship for calmer waters. Tucked and ran is accurate.
Muschamp ran us into the ground. Meyer won us two national championships, then went to another school, beat Bama and won the first playoff by beating the frick out of Oregon.
It's really not a contest at this point, because the last time they played Meyer had a third string quarterback and beat Alabama.

How come LSU couldn't hold on to the GOAT coach like Bama has been able too. If they were smart they would have mortgaged the house and paid up.
