Maverick:

Hair on fire. Mach 2. Big play. Risk. Showboat. All or nothing. Party. The deep ball.

Iceman:

Poised. Team. Unit. Mature. Composed intelligence. Calm. The right play.

You really didn't need that last pic... It was sort of a buzz kill.

Damn, I'd forgotten how hot he was back in the day.

Didn't Maverick end up maturing and becoming the better fighter pilot?

To be fair though Lock has already gone full Mav in just one game.

Scrambling out of the pocket, heaving it back across the field off your back foot to a third string slow white RB for a TD is very much the football equivalent of giving a Russian the bird during a 4 G, inverted dive with a MIG-28.

As the story goes, Maverick was given back-up duty in the final scene of the movie.

He almost blew it, but finally engaged and helped the number one's in a supportive role.

So do their ankle injuries thrust Boehm and Hansbrough into the roles of Hollywood and Wolfman?

DGB as Goose since he and Mauk came in as part of the same class and were buds. (The movie scene in which Goose pushes Meg Ryan down a flight of stairs while smoking a joint got cut, but trust me its a perfect analogy.)

I'd like to pretend I'm blind and have to "feel my way about" Mira Sorvino.

Who is the OP? I'm not familiar with him, and there's no team affiliation...
