Third and Chavis has been around for a looooooong time. But when you have quality defenses overall, you tend to overlook the shortcomings. 2013-14 brought the scarring to light.

Are you sure you aren't blaming the DC for:
A) Playing quality offenses
and
B) The natural wear-down of defensive players over the course of a game?
Cuz pretty much ever since completing 50% of one's passes became bad for a QB (circa 1990) I've seen a whole lot of what you've documented all over high school, college, and professional football.
