My take is this was the typical first game under Pinkel. Nothing but basic, vanilla, predictable stuff. Seems I have to point this out every year after the first game against a cupcake.
Lots and lots and lots of athleticism and potential everywhere on this team, more so than any roster I can remember under GP. This will be a dangerous team by the end of the year, and if they avoid a midseason lull they can compete for/win the east again.
DlineZou plays on.

Major concern - rushing game. Less than a 100 yds. against a FCS! Should I just stop there? OL was beat by a FCS team. This morning in Cape, SEMO coaches are giddy about their DL handling mighty Mizzou's OL. Hell, I have a red face. Ricker has a job and he better do it now.
LB's - they are awesome. D will carry the O again this year.
Special teams - there's promise but there is more work to do.
I will never forget how the 2013 improved every game. So, there is hope. GET with it OL!
