Oh, he juggled it all right. The ball hit his hands and bounced in the air ONCE. At that point, he was about 2 yards from the back line. After one bounce, he secured it with both hands and by the time his leg hit the back line, he'd not only secured it he'd already pulled it to his chest.
His butt hit first AFTER the juggle.. NYT (Bama's favorite publication disagrees... I watched the game, most of you have only heard about if from the Bama Nation..
Film Called 'Inconclusive'
After reviewing 16-millimeter films of the play yesterday, Hyland said there was no question that Gothard had bobbled the ball, but that the film was ''inconclusive'' on whether the Alabama tight end had regained possession before rolling out of the end zone. ''You don't get a clear definition of the ball,'' said Hyland.

Tell a lie enough and everone believes it..
Plus there was a missed call that should have been called on the play..
Hyland, however, admitted that his officials blew a significant call, but not the one that concerned Alabama fans the most.
Hyland said the pass to Gothard, should have been called back, whether it was complete or not, because Thornton Chandler, the other Crimson Tide tight end in the double- wingback formation, was moving before the snap of the ball. Chandler's foul went undetected by officials, who did call Penn State's defensive left end, Steve Sefter, offside.
NOTE TO TAMU: I misunderstood the horse collar rule.
