Dominant front 7?

You return 1 player that was in the top 30 in sacks for the 2014 season.
Your run defense total were good because Bama ranked 114th in Opponents Passing play called %.

Maybe you bama fans should worry about having a better pass defense than S. ALABAMA before you start comparing your defense to 2011.

Only a Gump fanbase can lose their leading sack player and their 2nd best tackling lb and assume their front 7 will dominate.

Alabama hasn't had a conference leader in sacks since Wallace Gilberry in 2007.

Okay?? The '12 team had to replace Barron, Kirkpatrick, Hightower, Upshaw, Chapman, and Gentry. Was the '12 defense up to '11's play? No, but it was still one of the top defenses, if not the best defense, in the nation that year.

Alabama returns both highly touted defensive frontman in A'Shawn and Reed this year, as well as returning a alpha leader linebacker in Ragland who's play in the 2nd half of the season has him predicted to win the Butkus for the upcoming year. Brown and Jones at the CB position is huge, as well as adding Tucker to the coaching staff. I don't see how predicting Alabama to have the best defense in the conference is far-fetched seeing how Alabama's defense has been pretty much fighting for 1st place in the SEC since 2008.
