I know of baseball players who have played with slightly torn labrums. Surely an offensive lineman can, right?

Just be glad it happened early in fall practice instead of the week before the first game.

Let him rest and sit the first couple games and be back for Bama. That would be over a month of heal/rest time

I think he will be alright. They will just give him a nice steroid shot before the games so he wont feel as much pain. I had to do the same thing in baseball my senior year except I only had to get one shot before the season
