In 2010 when USC won the East, everyone downplayed it due to the East being down. USC also had to beat then-#1 ranked Alabama who had won 19 straight heading into Williams-Brice, and also faced Auburn in Jordan Hare who would go undefeated and win the MNC...

Over the past 2 seasons Missouri has not faced either Alabama, Auburn, or LSU in the regular season - those 3 teams were the top 3 in the West in 2013. They also didn't face either Ole Miss or Miss St. last season, who were among the top 3 of the West along with Bama.

Missouri is 4-5 over the past 3 seasons since joining the SEC against USC, UGA, and UF who have been arguably the East's top 3 teams in that time. Over the past 2 seasons the only OOC opponent from a Power Five conference they have played in the regular season has been Indiana, and they are 1-1 against them.....

Exactly, Mizzou fans are quick to throw around their impressive record versus the SECw.. which is fine until you realize they've yet to play Alabama, Auburn, or LSU during the regular season.

Not really their fault, but you can't really scream-post about not getting respect until you've at least shown that mastery of the SECw against the bigg'uns.

Missouri will probably win the East again, but not because they're better than UGA, UT or even SC... Their schedule is just so easy.. They have 3-4 weeks to gain momentum before they even play a team with a pulse. And when they win the East again, the best thing they can do to shut everybody up about their schedule is to win the conference.
