Marc Weiszer of the Athens Banner-Herald reports, "Georgia’s pay increases for football assistant coaches touched every member of the staff," after obtaining the information via an open records request. The two assistants who received the biggest pay bump were tight ends coach John Lilly and Kevin Sherrer. Both will now make $350,000 per year after Lilly earned $250,000 last season and Sherrer made $220,000.

Lilly, who called Georgia's offensive plays in the 37-14 Belk Bowl victory over Louisville in December, is currently ranked as a top 50 recruiter (47th overall and 13th in the SEC) in the country by the 247Sports Composite Recruiter Rankings. Sherrer is ranked fourth in the nation and second in the SEC according to those same rankings.

Those aren't the only two assistants who quietly received raises this offseason. Mike Ekeler is now making $275,000, which is "about $25,000" more than he made a year ago. Weiszer notes that new strength and conditioning coordinator Mark Hocke is also making $10,000 more than the figure previously released. His annual salary currently sits at $210,000.

A pair of in-house support staffers also received pay bumps as director of recruiting Todd Hartley received a $15,000 increase to $165,000 year and program coordinator Brian Gantt will now make $84,000 after bringing in $58,000 a year ago.

Weiszer also reports that Georgia's combined assistant salaries is now $4.81 million, a number only surpassed by LSU ($5.49 million) and Alabama ($5.21 million) a year ago.
