May as well just make it a complete recruiting thread since I'm sure we'll post just as much about the 2017 kids since they're all in Alabama.
Robinson had a top 10 and we didn't make it.

@alec_lewis: Avery Johnson is in the building here to watch @ALChallenge. #Alabama is 3 deep. #PeachJam

Hope CAJ can snag a top tier player sooner rather than later. It'd be a nice message that Bama is serious about everything CAJ says.

They're loaded. Outside of Kobi Simmons and Josh Langford, other notables are Braxton Blackwell and Kaiser Gates.
Edit: Nevermind, Kaiser Gates was 2015.

The guys who trains John Petty and a lot of North Alabama b ball players told me Petty said KY cooled on him and that he likes that fact that CAJ has NBA connections. Believes CAJ can get him to the league. Hope he is right.

So mainly just Heron then? Dan said we are there three deep: Johnson, Simon, and Pettway.

I really do hope Johnson can leverage that into landing top talent. Then once you start winning, you can use that to recruit kids.
A class of Petty, Reese, and Johnson from instate in 2017 would be sick.

Four-star wing Micah Thomas doesn't always have the prettiest stroke, but during Thursday's morning session, he was able to go four-for-eight from the floor, including two 3-pointers. He said schools like Ole Miss, Alabama, Tennessee, Memphis, SMU, Baylor, LSU and Texas are all in the mix for his pledge at the moment. He said he's looking to visit LSU, Florida and Texas in the next few months, and he's hopeful to have a final list made before his senior season begins.

Yea that trainer thinks Johnson is a lock but he seems pretty high on Vandy.

Hmm interesting
"There have been whispers that another Memphis Tiger may be heading to Tuscaloosa as well as Nick King. After some wrangling with U of M, the Tigers AD finally granted Austin Nichols a requested release. The junior forward averaged 13.3 points and 6.1 rebounds last season for the Tigers. CBS reports that the conditions of the release were that Nichols did not transfer to "any American Athletic Conference school, any school on the Tigers' future schedules and/or Tennessee, Providence, Iowa or Virginia." Some of the teams on the Tigers' future schedules includes Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss and South Carolina."

We've shown interest in Blackwell as well.

Austin Nichols would be an absolute steal. He was the early favorite for AAC POY and has loads of NBA potential. He would have started at Duke last season if he had decided tp go there like everyone expected.
Plus he is really good friends with Nick King too. I think they played AAU together.
Eta: Googled "Austin Nichols Alabama" and this came up LINK
He is even from Memphis

So glad there's more interest in CBB

I'm ready for kids to start announcing top 5s so we will actually know who we are recruiting/have a chance with.

Sounds like we're sitting pretty with Heron. I'm interested to see where we are with Ferguson. Haven't heard much from him since the 247 article saying that our coach's visit was the best of the string he had in April or May.
