I saw a lot of criticism with Coleman when he left and while he was streaky, he was asked to do too much as a PG with virtually 0 scoring threats around him.

There is a reason he transferred to Samford

I'd argue we overrate some of our guys (Norris feels like the best example), more so than underrate them

Coleman was also asked to score at UA more than he would have been at other places. And also had more free looks than Collins likely had there. Avery worked magic at times last year with all the open looks we were able to get at times. Collins should shoot very well in our offense. The 3 ppg scorer Arthur Edwards averaged around double digits here. Collins should also thrive. Avery does wonders for good shooters, it appears.

If Retin left after his junior year, he would've likely been headed to a similar school. Just because someone transfers to a mid-major doesn't mean they belong there.

It's pretty harsh to judge a 5'10 PG for not living up to expectations in his first 2 years. Short PGs always have the roughest transition to the college game. I'd be surprised if Coleman didn't have a stat line of 15+ ppg and 4+ APG before the end of his career.
