You won't found any QBs from those times that put up those numbers. Different game then.

Damn. I had hoped this was on of those rumors.

And the game was way different back then. Stabler was quite possibly THE iconic Raiders QB.

Quite. Two other Bama QBs, Namath and Starr, were similar and already in the HOF.

Fran Tarkenton
Dan Fouts
Jim Hart
Ken Anderson
Joe Ferguson
Ron Jaworski
Terry Bradshaw

These guys all played in that era and have better stats and 4 of the 7 are not in the HOF.

Yea but he had the moments, the wins, and the championship. Not to mention played in a much more defensive league

Exactly. Go back and check Terry Bradshaw's stats. Took him 8 or 9 years before he had a 300 yard game.
