No he wasn't. He was absolutely recruited to play football. He was an all city OL in 9th grade, which people fail to mention and Disney sure as hell intentionally ignored. not that that makes him special in TN private school football. Barry Brunetti was recruited as well to another private school in Memphis, among many many others (see Ensworth High School in Nashville and Brentwood Academy has been doing it for decades)
