One thing I really, truly didn't get was Freeze throwing around comments about the stepdad pushing the mom around. That was the start of something for me. It didn't fit and didn't feel like something a school or a coach (in his right mind) would ever say or comment on without proof

Not if that is what Tunsil told him about his step-dad! That's not defamation.
Defamation is telling a deliberate lie. Libel is writing it down, publishing it.
Hard to prove in court. Seems like there is a lot of reading between the lines on this discussion that may or may not hold water. The hysteria is hysterical. Everybody all juiced up and excited, hoping to see Ole Miss get hammered.
Not gonna happen!
But IF it does happen, we will survive and thrive. Always have...always will! Maybe it will make some of us decide who we are and what we stand for and what we will STAND UP FOR!
The bigger question is whether or not STEP DADDY is telling the truth or deflecting the spot light off of himself. It is a family matter. the NCAA has no jurisdiction there. Step Daddy better have something more substantial than mouthing off!
