However, I don't expect us to have a great year. 8 or 9 wins maybe, so I could see people saying that

Steck did an admirable job, but I think most serious Mizzou fans don't view him as indispensable in the way they do Kul and Ivey. I felt that losing Grinch was maybe more important than losing Steck.
I'm expecting Odom to do a great job with the defense. But as the OP stated, I'm expecting a down year relative to the last two... and not just because of the Brantley news.
