The JuCo transfers?

Yeah, 5 Juco DE's including the #1 rated Marquavius Lewis (already on top of the depth chart coming out of the spring). That will allow REAL DL guys to play on the DL, not converted OLB's that were trying play DE while being 20-30 lbs under weight for that position.

Plus the addition of John Hoke. All assessments are their young secondary from last year is already vastly improved. The secondary had to play with one hand behind their backs all year because USC had zero pass rush. Give talented QB's and receivers enough time and they WILL find each other.

Yeah I knew the JuCo guys should help some. I guess we will see how they affect the defense as a whole. Pharaoh is a freak too. I just think y'all's schedule is to rough.

Guess we will see if a group of jucos can make a big difference. They hardly do, especially instantly. Huge diff between juco ball and the sec.

SC is going to be interesting. I think the defense will and could improve dramatically but the record may not be much different.

First of all there were losses at OL. How are they replaced and can they give the new QB ample time in the pocket to get comfortable. Super Green QB + Anything but stellar pass protection = 2008 TN offense.

I really like Brandon Wilds at RB and I think you'll see Spurrier use him and Pharoah as much as humanly possible along with D. Williams. But the offesne won't be "explosive" this year in my opinoin.

The D, which has been addressed here, shoudl be better. The secondary will improve just with last years experience and I do agree the Juco DL's will be a big help.

The problem is all of this is going to take time to come together and that UNC game is going to be very scary. Give any reason for the fanbase to get disgruntled early and on Spurriers back and this season could spiral.

I think SC will be much better this year in areas, but worse in spots. I think 7-5 is likely and would be a good year.
