See that's how I am. I honestly don't care one way or the other but the way the left acts about this kind of stuff makes me want them to not change it. Just to give the bird to those smug assholes that think they can change anything because it hurts their feelings

But that's not the case anymore. The fact that prominent Republicans like Mitt Romney and Jeb Bush are speaking out against the flag shows that both side have an issue with it.

Also despite the fact that they won't publicly speak out against it, I doubt many northern and west coast republicans agree with it too. But of course they'll dodge the issue say that the decision should be left up to the states (which is true) in order to not alienate their southern base.

I highly doubt the GOP wants to be associated with it, seeing how it goes against their fundamental beliefs.
