I don't think it would. If we changed it all that would happen is people would laugh at Mississippi for only just now changing it. Not applaud it.

That and then they would move on to the next "hatefull" thing. I could not give two shits about the flag. My ancestors where getting treated just as brutally by the brits on our home island around the time of the civil war. Yet because I am white I am supposed to feel some burden for something that happened almost 200 years ago?

Both sides have their own groups of shitheads, ignorant racist renecks and ignorant race baiting blacks are equally despicable to me. I feel no pitty for either bunch.

Keep the flag change the flag, it will make no difference in the lives of any man.

Exactly. The national narrative about race depends too much on the South (Mississippi especially) continuing to be a hotbed of racism. Keeping all of the attention on the South distracts people from real problems with regards to race, such as education, welfare dependency, and the war on drugs.
