I really wish the restaurants here in New York had sweet tea
Know what I discovered when living up there? Canadian restaurants have sweet tea. It's a bit of a hassle to go through the process of proving you're not a smuggler or a terrorist, but sometimes a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do to get some decent sweet tea.

don't just add sugar straight to the tea, make a slurry.
Simple syrup is the best way to do it.

I dunno about Lipton. In our parts, Lipton was almost like the Kraft mayonnaise of tea bags. But maybe things are different in your area.

Some of the other brands I mentioned, aren't available Nationally. Lipton's not my favorite, but it is probably better than some local store brands that you might get in some places.
