Many ACL injuries are non-contact involving sharp changes of speed and direction.

Direct contact to the knee would likely cause more problems with LCL and MCL along with tibia or fibula fractures.

Fairley is probably the most visible on field villain. I fault UGA for letting him get away with his crap.

The way they could stop Fairley's fun is to put an OL in the game with instructions to get a fight started, you do something dirty in a pileup and Fairley is going to retaliate, and get tossed. Along with the backup Olineman.
