If the state was smart, Alabama/Auburn/UAB/Troy/USA would be playing in football and basketball as much as possible. ESPECIALLY basketball. This state needs to become semi-relevant in basketball again.

No, I don't mean that us playing each other makes either program relevant in the national spotlight. It makes the sport relevant to people of this state. Basketball isn't very relevant to anyone here anymore. It used to be. And no, don't give me the "But Alabama is averaging 10k fans!" line. People haven't been close to being excited for basketball in this state in nearly a decade until this past year.
