I think if you play a year in Juco any bar to transfer should be nullified. If a school is willing to take a risk on the player, that's on the school, just like NFL owners take the risk of signing a player with character issues. The NFL doesn't ban players from the league for crimes, they suspend them. A year's "suspension" from big time football seems adequate IMO.

I agree in principle, but the conference does have a financial stake in its public image.

JUCO should not wipe it out. Jonathan Taylor was in JUCO for like 4 months. These guys can go play in another conference if they want.
