If UAB had a 30,000 seat stadium, how many games would they sell out?

If that stadium was the on campus one that was proposed right of I-65 in south side, and Bill Clark was he HC and they had a competitive team like this season I don't think it'd be a stretch to sell out 3/6 home games a year.

This season they sold 29k tickets vs Alabama A&M, 28k vs Marshall, and 27k vs Troy.

A Southside stadium would increase attendance. Much more accessible and nicer area than Legion Field. Region Field sells out plenty of Barons games in the vicinity of UAB and not many people in Birmingham care about baseball. Birmingham is the top CFB market in the country though and the whole city isn't in Tuscaloosa or Auburn on Saturday. You put a good football product for a cheap price in the hottest area of the top CFB city in the country and people will show up. Not sure why that's so hard for people to see.

Then move the games. Put bleachers in at Regions Park. Convert it after the Barons season wraps and show the demand is there. The argument to kill UAB is driven by the low numbers. I went to Legion Field a year ago just to go. Never saw a game there, but I wanted to say I'd been. You don't have to convince me of how bad it is. I'm just telling you, UAB won't get a new stadium if the demand isn't there, regardless of location.

How do you propose paying for this stadium?

Donations? If so, then why not let them try.
