-- Sitting behind home plate at Rosenblatt Stadium in 1986 at the CWS. Watched Albert "Joey" Belle hit two home runs in a 4-3 loss to Miami. That sent LSU home, but it was clear LSU was in good hands with Skip Bertman, and might even have a chance to actually one day win the CWS.

-- LSU beating Alabama 13-6 for the 1997 CWS title. LSU and Bama had been the two best teams all season, and even though LSU won the SEC regular season title, Bama had taken two of three from LSU in the last series of the season including the worst loss in LSU history, 28-2. Bama then beat LSU to win the SEC tournament, and was ranked No.1 going into the CWS. Can you imagine the meltdown if Bama had beaten LSU for the national championship after LSU had won the regular season SEC? 21-0 says been there, done that.
