Its like racing horses. Everyone prays really hard but not everyone can win the race. Some days you win, some day you lose. When things are going well you slow down in the praying and then it catches back up with you. So you see its not God that controls the bad weather its your lack of continued respect and thankfulness to the lord and savior. He giving you good weather is like a reward. Glass half full.
Take snow storms for example. There are a lot of atheists up north so they get a lot of snow storms. There isnt near as many atheist in the Holy conservative state of Mississippi. Also not a lot of snow storms. Case rested.
God Bless.

What an utter waste of time. Hog=swine. It's right there in his name.

I must have missed your point again.
No, he asked if anyone thinks god controls the weather. Obviously a shiny-hook-question, because the idea that god controls the weather or intervenes in anything is fairly easily dismissible with a basic exercise in logic.

This shows how dumb you are.

No, it really isn't. Let's walk through it. So you think god controls the weather?

dumb is pretty harsh, but closed minded is very applicable, many atheists are terrified of what they simply don't understand
I like your quote from page 1, although I'm not sure if even once explained we will be able to comprehend the wonders before us

Long answer: As more of the natural world came to be explainable in purely rational terms, the human view of what was under the control of God inappropriately shrunk. But the answer to the question "Is there a supernatural world?" isn't "yes" or "no." For there is no supernatural or natural world. There is only the explained and the unexplained.

I believe God can work with the laws of nature to achieve His will. He is also free to work outside the laws of nature.

I wish you could see the irony in this.

Anyone who thinks the question of Providence is easily solved and dismissible through "simple logic" is dumb. They are ignorant of their own presuppositions and basic philosophical arguments.

So, the earthquake in Nepal... was that god working with the laws of nature to achieve his will?

You are the one with his eyes closed here.

Yes but it's willful and out of fear of the unknown. We can't make someone have an open mind if they clamp it shut and put a lock on it. Each to his/her own.

I believe the earthquake in Nepal happened. (Attacking the Problem of Pain and the question of Miracles all in one post while describing your position as simple is pretty brave. Not that you've really noticed any of this.)

Am I? Forgive me for not believing god intervenes in the weather. Perhaps I shouldn't have phrased it as a simple exercise in logic. It is a simple exercise in reason for those who are not indoctrinated.

The exact same could be said about you. I've been a Christian. Have you been an atheist?
Posted on 5/24/15 at 2:13 pm to rbWarEagle
Oh, you've been a Christian? That changes everything.

That wasn't Stonehogs question, but you are forgiven

You didn't answer my question.
