LSU also has False River not too far from BR. Great for wake boarding, tubeing, and a few drive through daiquiri bars right by the water.
It is now an oxbow lake, but was once a main channel in the Mississippi River before being cut off by natural causes. So hey, no bull sharks
At the deepest point it's like 20 ft. Sometimes during the year it's as low as 5.
