Agreed.. Not a bad place at all.. Columbia though that's suprising

This is so subjective. If you are a partier pretty much every town has some semblance of that life. Probably your bigger cities have more.

If you are an older fan you're not looking for the best bar scene. Contrary to OP's statement South Carolina is my favorite. We stay in Charleston which is spectacular year round with great golf and fishing. Knoxville is hard to beat staying in Pigeon Forge. Beautiful country there and lot of outdoor activities. Not into New Orleans and stuff like that. Never go to the strip in Ttown. All Oxford and Starkville provide is a place to get wasted. Not good road trips at all. A&M is pretty good as we stay in North Houston with some great golf courses.

It all depends on what you call a "worst roadtrip". My definition of a great road trip would probably differ from yours.
