Alabama got picked as having the toughest schedule by Phil Steele.
According to preseason SI polls, Alabama plays:
#3 Auburn
#10 Ole Miss
#15 Georgia
#19 Wisconsin
#24 Texas A&M

Fox Sports:
#6 Auburn
#11 Ole Miss
#13 LSU
#15 Georgia
#21 Texas A&M
#23 Arkansas
#24 Tennessee
(Wisconsin and MSU make the "just missed" list)

Phil Steele's projected Top 25:
#9 Auburn
#10 Georgia
#12 Ole Miss
#14 LSU
#18 Wisconsin
#20 Arkansas
#21 MSU
#24 Tennessee
(Just missed - Texas A&M)

That's 9 of our opponents making at least one of those three preseason top 25 polls. I doubt that will hold true through the entire year, but right now that schedule looks brutal.

Edit: Steele has us with the second toughest, mostly because Alabama and Arkansas play the same number of ranked and bowl eligible teams, but the win discrepancy can be attributed to swapping Alabama and Arky as each other's foes.

Double edit: 10 of our foes (clearly I shouldn't post when tired). Pretty much every SEC team we play, plus Wisconsin, is somewhere on these preseason top 25 lists.

I agree that for once Bama has the toughest schedule in the conference.

At least you don't play UGA and Auburn both on the road back to back like we will you guys and UGA from here on out in even years.

I think Alabama may very well have the toughest schedule this year, not just the teams but where they play.

I do not think Wisconsin will be that much of a challenge, but they will be in the top 2-4 of the Big10 and probably ranked.

Playing Georgia, Auburn, and Miss State away will be rough, and I still think A&M is the snake in the grass for Alabama.
