Ozark Trail Thru Hike

I was looking at the Ozark Highland trail in Arky as a precursor to the JMT but then I stumbled across this and like it even more.

Haven't hiked that hike but did spend most of my summers in my youth on the northern end of that, or nearby. Beautiful part of the state.

I'm originally from Rolla and my dad worked for the Mark Twain national forest. So I've done it several times. Fun stuff.

I'm camping at Yosemite over Memorial Day and doing the JMT this fall.

We used to steal farm equipment and ride up and down the Katy Trail, but to answer your question...

No, never have.

But I bet it couldn't handle farm equipment like the Katy Trail could.

Northern end.

The Missouri/Arkansas Ozarks is some of the greatest and most spectacular land this country has to be honest. Very underrated when compared to the Appalachian or Rockies foothills.

Very pretty part of the Ozarks. Trail itself does not really lend itself to thru hiking
