That defense isn't an all-great level defense.

You're either stupid or a troll.

The 2011 Alabama defense was only the second defense since 1937 to lead the nation in the four major categories (scoring, passing, rushing, and total defense).

Their numbers, in case you are interested, are as follows:

183.6 yards per game
111.5 pass yards per game
72.15 rush yards per game
8.2 points per game

If that isn't an all-time worthy performance then I don't know what is. Not to mention the fact that every starter (as well as most of their back-ups) from that defense were either drafted or made NFL rosters through free agency. Mark Barron, Dre Kirkpatrick, Dee Milliner, Dont'a Hightower, C.J. Mosley, and HaHa Clinton-Dix were all starters/contributors who ended up being drafted in the first round.

So they were talented as well as uniquely effective at stopping opposing offenses. A rare combination.

Boom.

He is a friggin' idiot who just declares his opinions to be fact, despite the mountain of contravenous information directly placed in front of him.

But nah, that 2011 Alabama defense was not elite, despite leading the nation in every major statistical category.
