I think 2011 Bama defense was better than 2001 Miami because 2011 Bama came into the season with a focus on being the best Bama d ever statistically and therefore kept focus even when Bama was up big.
And yeah 2001 Miami was better overall for sure. Defensively the talent was similar but bamas d really went all out for that GOAT title on d.
