Wow...didn't realize they had dropped that far.

Ole Miss had 20+ yards rushing after 1st 2 plays of the game and finished with 8 yards rushing total...and Ole Miss was only sacked 3 times that game.

It really was unreal.

Like you said, pefect storm. Lost #1 ranking, dropped the 13 spots, the cover of Sports Illustrated that came out the Thursday before the game featured Tennessee with a scathing article on how Tenn embarrassed AU and made Bo Jackson quit.

AU was absolutely furious and embarrassed which Dye talks about in his book.

Then Ole Miss lost their qb and, perfect storm.
