The one thing I've learned as I've grown older is, you don't have to answer every question asked of you.

My reply would simply be, do you want to sell your house or not?

HUD might also get involved and add some language to the Fair Housing Act.

In a world where only property owners can vote, I imagine HUD would be neutered, assuming it still existed at all. The seller could refuse to sell if the buyer refuses to answer.

I'm just pointing out ways this could be a bad idea. Another thing to consider, the amount of land is effectively constant while population is increasing.
