There is no way to know how many or if any of these people would have become successful NFL QBs had they gone to another school that demanded more of them. But it would be folly to assume it is exclusively the fault of the player.

We are operating on 3 facts

1. Alabama recruits a lot of really good players
2. Alabama converts a lot of these really good players into NFL players
3. None of these NFL players are QBs

I can go ahead and tell you that of the list I have presented, the only QBs that may have been successful elsewhere had they been given more control of the offense would have been Brodie Croyle, AJ McCarron, and perhaps Gary Hollingsworth as well as upperclassman Jay Barker.
