Is it the new defensive coordinator?
Is it the new offensive style that is expected?
Not even trying to flame just trying to understand.
Auburn was a goal line fluke leg break from going 3-5 in conference last year.

An actual passing attacked coupled with an already great rushing attack. I really believe Gus is the best at bringing his offensive talent to its fullest potential. Boom is already an established defensive coordinator, so there will be an obvious improvement on that side of the ball

I think Jeramy Johnson is going to be a better QB than Nick Marshall, time will tell though. Im interested to see how they replace their second consecutive SEC leading rusher. Their schedule sets itself up nicely with home games against Bama, MSST, Georgia, and OM. That's going to help them out a whole lot more than people would think

All of our tough games are at home. Only go on the road against shite teams.

Muschamp and greater talent/experience on D. We should be better in all areas player wise. Lawson back and experienced depth on dline. All of our linebackers back with more experience and the addition of highly touted sophomore who is expected to contribute or start. Better coverage corners and Mathews at safety.
Defense should finally be pretty good.
Offense is expected to be as productive as last year, just in a different way.
Finally, favorable home schedule. Last year we played the toughest in the nation.

No doubt Johnson can throw it better, but their offense has been based on the running game since Gus has been there. Not sure they can just flip a switch and change philosophies like that.
I think it will take more than 1 off-season to change offenses

Home schedule is a good point.
It's still the sec west though

Gus's first year he broke about every passing record on the books at AU with Chris todd at qb. Then he had Cam and Nick Marshall in 3 of the next 4 years.

See 2008 to 2009.

See 2009 and 2010.
The only reason Auburn has been running so much is because Nick Marshall was an extremely dynamic, dangerous, and underrated rusher. Auburn now has a better passer, and as Gus's track record shows, he will produce a high-scoring, fast-paced offense. Auburn will have a 1,000 yard rusher. Auburn will probably average 30+ points per game.
Some may say Auburn was a "broke leg away" from being 3-5 in conference, but there's also evidence to say that if Auburn had any semblance of a decent defense, they win against Texas A&M and Alabama. Auburn should have a much improved defense with coaching that is at the very least a flight of stairs up from Ellis Johnson.

lol, what?
It's not like we're going all air raid. Sure, some increased passing with jj up there but you're going to see plenty of Roc, Jovon, and Peyton.

Only Auburn counts the coordinator years. Seriously dude, just stop.

Wasn't the offense predicated on misdirection? Won't be as effective with Johnson at qb
If you think auburn can line up and pound the ball fine, I'm not So sure
