I never thought Landon Collins was going to be drafted in the First Round. He is a beast when defending the run and playing zone defense. NFL requires Safeties to be cover safeties as well and LC doesn't have great coverage skills especially against the bigger TEs and WRs.
If he chose LSU he might have learned better coverage skills but I can't argue his decision to select BAMA. If he can improve his coverage skills he should be able to stick in the NFL for 4-7 years (at least 3y for the pension).
He should be selected early 2nd Round today.

In my honest opinion Collins was always a dick measuring contest between Saban and Miles. His status was blown up because of it. I watched the kid in Highschool and yes ge was the best player on the field but his hips weren't fluid and although fast he was a stiff fast.

Really, there's a very small part of the OP that is incorrect.
He referred to Landon being picked in the first round as "a cherry on top"
Landon has already been vindicated by the results on the field. Being selected in the first round would have only been an extra bit of sweetness.
