How is this even possible with a head coach that has a background on offense and played the position? Not to mention how well LSU recruits. That's a baffling stat.

It is at the very least interesting to consider. I'm honestly not sure what the deal could be.

Searles and Studrawa were both pretty meh recruiters/coaches. The guy we have now is a step up.

Wouldn't that mean LSU has done well with less talent? I know saban isn't an offensive guy, but he's considered the best recruiter, so he had no olinemen drafted in the first round at LSU.

But honestly, our first round guys like black, and faulk were injured in their last years at LSU that hampered them. those guys had the talent, but injuries pretty much ruined their careers.
