Currently a history major. Planning on going to seminary and then on to get my PhD in something along the lines of Ancient Israel and the Hebrew Bible.
Would like to end up doing research and teaching theology/scholastic bible history so hopefully my job opportunities will be at least moderately okay once I get done

Academic jobs are hard to come by. Schools churn out many more PhDs than the job market can bear, especially in the liberal arts. Hope you aren't having to borrow money to get those degrees. But, who knows, maybe you'll be the next Indiana Jones.
