Well that snuck up on us in the post season. They were literally the team that refused to lose. I don't know many people who watched regular season games in 2013 thinking "Man we are going to play for a natty". Losses to UCA and others seem to come to mind.
I think regular attendance numbers this year prove that most people who followed State baseball and growing tired of Cohen. Next year, if he returns, will be the equivalent of welfare because no one will be at the games. Very hard to raise money for "the cathedral of college baseball" when you are averaging less than 500 paying customers a night.
Something else I have started to do too. I tune-in to the post game purely for fun now just to hear the excuses. Cohen may be waterboarding this team but he is the master of the post game interview. He is very careful to never blame the loss on the same thing from night to night. If he only identified a few problems that everyone else figured out a year or two ago then he would be expected to fix it. He comes up with a totally different scenario for each loss. Someone must have told him to back-off throwing his players under the bus because he has now moved on to throwing out statistical improbabilities of opposing players making the plays against us.

You can't be that stupid. Even with our abysmal performances this year, we we're 4th in average attendance, and 3rd in total attendance. Just stop.
