You're finally on the right track. Oxford is known for that 30 for 30 and hood rich tailgates.

And they have a good risk management program. Other than that, it's just another low point of entry school in the south

i'm not sure why people can't just give Oxford credit where it's due. It epitomizes the definition of a college town. It has just enough good bars, a good dining scene, and the town is fully intertwined with the university. It is a place you stay for 4 (maybe 6) years then move away, like most college towns. Most of my friends who went or still go there call it for what it is. They're usually burnt out by the 4th year but love visiting

It's not a place for a young professional as it doesn't have many white collar jobs, so I don't get the argument there.

At times I'd rather have LSU be in a true college town because it's often stigmatized for the crime and Guatemalan infrastructure instead of how good the university actually is.
