I can't think of one way which Oxford favorably relates to Grenada except they both are in North Mississippi.

Some dude on my FB feed posted a picture of him checking in at the Chili's in Starkville with the status "[i]t's great to be back in God's Country for Super Bulldog Weekend."

No its not. That might be the worst comparison I've ever heard of. You might go to hell for degrading Oxford to that level of shittyness. I used to live in Grenada. It has one of the highest murder rates in MS. The Grenada square is a ghost town and is basically part of the ghetto now. No one in Grenada has money. All the women are pregnant.....including most girls over the age of 15. Go to walmart in Grenada. You will see people that looked like they've been living under a rock and could have been on the movie "Deliverance". Grenada is arguably one of the most redneck towns in the South. In Oxford, there's money everywhere. Hell just drive through Oxford and you'll see every brand of luxury car within a few minutes. You don't see ratchet arse people everywhere you look. The town is full of rich beautiful people. The Oxford Square is full of life and culture and is basically what makes that town other than the university. Oxford is supposedly one of the safest college towns. Murders in Oxford are almost unheard of...and there really are no bad neighborhoods in Oxford. Oxford is one of the few towns in MS that's enjoyable. It's an oasis of money in the poorest state in America.
